Carrot and Turnip

Serves: 4
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Ideal accompaniment to a roast dinner.

350g (12 oz) carrots
350g (12 oz) turnip/swede
25g (1 oz) margarine
Salt and pepper

1) Peel the vegetables and cut into rough pieces.
2) Put them in large saucepan of boiling water and boil them for about 15 minutes until totally cooked.
3) Drain and add salt, margarine and lots of black pepper.
4) Roughly mash with a potato masher or chop with a knife.
